Market Overviews For the Week 22-26 Nov

This week, the markets were dragged low by the realty funding scam. Banking and realty stocks crashed after the CBI arrested top officials of the banking industry for collusion with developers and middlemen. Reports also indicated that SEBI was initiating a probe against insider trading though the finance minister has denied this.

The markets took a sharp beating this week and downward trend prevailed across all sectors. Amidst housing loan scam involving many companies, realty was the worst performer in the second consecutive week.

The numbers are following:
  • The Sensex down 2.5% and Nifty down 2.5%.
  • The CNX Midcap index was down 5.7%,
  • BSE Smallcap index down 7.2%,

Twenty Facts of China's Rapid Growth

China has surpassed Japan in the second quarter of this fiscal year to become the world's second-largest economy, with only the United States ahead of it now. The second quarter of 2010 saw China's gross domestic product standing at $1.34 trillion and Japan's at $1.29 trillion

China's economy during the last three decades has transformed into a market-oriented economy with a booming private sector. The country now is a major player in the global economy. Forecasts suggest that China will surpass the United States as the world's biggest economy by, as early as, 2030.

While the developed world is still struggling to come out of the economic crisis that hit it in late 2008, China's economy is forecast to expand about 10 per cent -- continuing its robust double-digit growth. China is the world's fastest-growing economy, averaging a blistering growth rate of around 10 per cent for the past 30 years!

Market Views For Tomorrow 26-Nov

Today market continued its short term down trend and showed selling pressure. Nifty closed below 5800 levels and Sensex closed below 19320 with extremely bearish market breadth, which shows bears are having control at the moment. Market sentiments may remain weak, as long as Nifty trades below 5,860 levels and Sensex trades below 19500 levels.

On the basis of daily charts the prices have breached the upward sloping trend line. Hence in coming trading session, if indices trade convincingly below the 19,257 / 5,780, then they may test lower levels of 19,170 - 19,000 / 5,750- 5,700. On the upside, 19,500- 19,628 / 5,880- 5,900 levels may act as resistance for the day.

If we look at Intraday market for tomorrow, trend deciding level is at 5,800. If Nifty shows strength to trade above 5,800 levels, then rally to 5,840/5,870/5,920 levels may be seen. If Nifty does not show strength above 5,800 levels then selling pressure till 5,750/5,720/5,680 levels may also be seen.

Market May Consolidate In The Range Of 6000-5825

Equities were witnessing a choppy session with positive bias ahead of November series F&O expiry. Gains in auto and oil&gas space were offset by losses in capital goods and technology stocks.

The index recovery has made a "hammer" candlestick pattern that suggests the low of 5825 will be defended strongly in the near term by the bulls. We expect the market to consolidate in the range of 6000-5825 in the remaining part of the week with a positive bias. However, the medium term trend has turned in favor of bears which will cap the rallies.

Forecastings of Stock Market Movements

While forecasting stock market movements and its short term patterns, I've looked a model consisting of many components and indicators. Here's a brief overview of  stock market where four of my five basic categories stand now:

  1. The fundamental valuation of the stock market is very high.
  2. The macro-economic or business cycle-threatens to turn down again.
  3. Liquidity indicators for the G7 countries have deteriorated sufficiently during the past 12 months to rate them as a clear negative for the stock market.
  4. The overall technical picture shows some signs of a possible stock market top. But all in all it's more or less neutral.

An Idea Of a Diversified Portfolio

While many investors and financial advisors may be worried that the idea of a “diversified portfolio” may be somewhat of an illusion these days, I don’t think it is necessarily a bad thing. After all Warren Buffett himself once said that, "Diversification is protection against ignorance. It makes little sense if you know what you are doing."

In other words many investors become so diversified that the ruin any chance of achieving alpha (or outperformance) on their portfolios. That’s one reason why most financial advisors cant manage to match the broad stock indexes.

Indian Stock Market For Tomorrow 24-Nov

Key indices fell sharply as reports of hostility between the South and North Korea further dampened sentiment, already hit by European debt worries. However, a late recovery from the support of 5,800 in afternoon trading session helped Nifty to trim much of its losses. Going ahead, the undertone continues to be fragile given the anxiety surrounding the geo-political concern, Indian political scandals and Euro zone situation.

The market is now in a correction phase. The long term trend remains up. Nifty likely to face resistance around 6,000, if rallies and could find support levels at 5864-5830. The market is likely to remain volatile in view of expiry of derivatives due on 25th November.

An Overview of Market Unlikely Sentiments

Must Read

After making the high of 21000, markets manage to store itself. But rising interest rates in Korea and Ireland 69 billion default by the government to some extent among retail investors has created uncertainty. Then, the scandal of the Commonwealth Games, telecoms scam and Adarsh Society scam as well as political affairs news of the loss of Rs 14,000 crore to LIC increased doubts in investors mind. Well, if LIC resorted to the selling its market, then it could be dangerous. But it seem an unlikely market and the Indian government wants to see it as increasing.

My personal opinion is that there is not any barrier in India's development. Government fund-raising exercise will continue next year. In fact, the next year disinvestment target of Rs 75,000 crore is going to increase and therefore the market safe and sound must be. Yet the scope of the market correction will continue to equal the current financial year 2010-11 in view of the anticipated benefits is still a bit expensive at the moment on the spur of value, not cash or liquidity on the spur of the flower. If the Sensex fell by 18,500 that do not care. But, up next Diwali is sure to touch 26,000 goal. That is why investors  are suggested to buy right stocks at the right sense. Kind of permanent decline in the market only come in the face of political changes by which the central government may become unstable.

There is an off tomorrow and Thursday will begin a series of rollover. Market within just five days to roll the open interest of Rs 1,60,000 crore. So this time, huge ups - and downs and older is expected to spread. We can then be subjected to more carry-over rates. High ups and down or Volatility may drag retail investors because they are not willing to cut deals and settle many sectors, especially banking Long.

Take a point tie knots to hold the best stocks on the cheap sentiment of the market is the last dive. Then this great opportunity will not happen again.

Yours goals should clear and complete understanding of stocks to work.

Market Collaps On Weak Global Cues

It is difficult to assign precise reasons to the heavy fall in markets, but weak overseas markets may have likely resulted in this sharp fall in Indian markets. Global markets have turned weak likely on the back of concerns of monetary tightening in China and further weakness in some of the European economies.

Asian stocks fell for a third day on speculation that governments in the region will take further steps to cool inflation. Japanese benchmark index Nikkei 225 fell 30.41 points or 0.31% to settle at 9,797.10. Hong Kong's Hang Seng declined 334.16 points, or 1.39%, to close at 23,693. China's Shanghai Composite decreased 119.88 points, or 3.98% to settle at 2,894.54.

Since the Upward Gap area has acted as a support for the markets a bounce up to 20,675- 20,740 / 6,223- 6,240 levels in the coming trading session cannot be ruled out.

Nifty Intraday Levels :  This profit taking is expected to continue with Nifty having support at 6,161 and if it falls below this level then further selling can be seen. On the other hand Nifty has resistance at 6,243 and 6,307 level

Market Prediction For 03-Nov

Today markets opened flat, and traded in a narrow range with extreme choppiness but finally managed to close on a flat note. On the basis of Daily Nifty charts and reports we are witnessing a narrow range body formation which reflects indecisiveness prevailing at current level. We maintain our previous day view that on the upside if indices trade convincingly above 20,452 / 6,150 level then they are likely to test 20,578-20,630 / 6,200-6,220 levels. On the downside 20,167-20,092 / 6,060-6,036 levels may act as support for the day.
